Description
An Easter lambada is a traditional Greek Easter candle that is also known as a Paschal candle or Pascha candle. It is lit at midnight on Holy Saturday before Orthodox Easter, symbolizing the resurrection of Jesus and bringing his light to all. The candle is brought to the church service unlit, and the church goes dark at midnight to symbolize Christ's death.
It is customary for Godparents to gift an Easter lambada to their Godchild.
