Halkidikis Olives

Full, plump, rich taste, not salty

The finest black olive I have ever had.

I ordered four types of olives for variety.The olives from chalkidiki were the better ones.Not to salty.The other ones,Nafplio,Volos,Agrinio were average,each slightly different from the each other which is good.The brine they were in must have been too strong or "harsh"(I do not know what word to use) and to me they tasted too salty and sour.It is not a demerit for Titan foods which has excellent products.I think most olives are kept in similar brine all over the world for preservation sake but I personally do not like salty or sour taste.Many times I wash the olives (heresy!) and then keep in olive oil with minimal brine.This way they have several months kitchen life.

Not your typical olive--distinctive texture, an enjoyable chewiness, and a distinctive flavor. Can only eat a couple at a time or the taste is overwhelming. Enjoyable, but might be an acquired taste.

These are among the best olives I've ever had.
