Vourderis Sour cherry syrup, also known as "vissinada" in Greek, is the traditional Greek refreshment, made out of sour cherries, boiled with sugar. When the mix cools down, it turns into syrup; pits, cherries and other residues are filtered and the thick liquid is bottled. Put in a tall glass, add water and ice, and enjoy a cool refreshment. Best if consumed with company, "parea". You can also add this syrup to your favorite ice cream, cakes, or sweets.
