Description
This book, first published in 2018, is a selection of 260 of the best Greek recipes, by the Chef Akis Petretzikis. The recipes vary from baked/oven foods, to sweet/salty pies, soups, and sweets (traditional and bakery sweets). The book has a recipe index, a dictionary for cooking terms, a table for measurements, some cooking tips for kitchen preparations, and information on culinary ingredients. Every recipe is labeled as to the ingredients (gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, etc.), and as to cooking/preparation times, portions, preservation directions and level of difficulty.
Chef Akis Petretzikis was born in Thesaloniki, Northern Greece, and started working at the family food business at 16. He studied Culinary in Athens and after graduating, he worked in some of the most famous restaurants in Greece and England. In 2010 he took part at the televised cooking competition show "Greek Master Chef", where he won the first place with his pleasant character, great knowledge of culinary ingredients, excellent kitchen aptitude, and talented recipes. After becoming the first ever "Greek Master Chef" he appeared in various food shows in television networks, YouTube, etc., he opened up his own food business and e-shop, and is now trying to answer the perpetual question "What am I cooking today?" with this book.
