Description

Traditional Greek New Year's sweet bread with a small coin. According to tradition, the bread is cut on New Year's Day and everybody gets a piece. Whoever gets the coin in their piece is considered to have luck for the whole year.

I tried my best not to compare this to my mother's, which will always be the gold standard for me. But this was very nice on its own. Good flavor, good taste, and just as important--a good aroma. But I wish the texture was a bit more dense, thicker. I also wish there was much more sesame on the bread. But my very American wife is devouring the first loaf I got, and so because she loves it so much I'm ordering two more loaves today.

Flavor just ok,,, way over baked. , not edible as is. Very , very dry If you load up with butter, and dunk in coffee,, then edible Will not reorder as is
