Description

Vlaha Sour Trachanas is made with pure ingredients, does not contain preservatives, and is an excellent choice of high nutritional value for a balanced diet. Trachanas or “Trahanas” is cooked as a thick soup and served with Arahova feta cheese for a delicious fast meal. To cook, add salt and butter to boiling water or milk, add pasta, stir occasionally, and remove from heat after 13-15 minutes. 

Company Vlaha SA was established in 1965 by the Bekiaris family and has been producing pasta from pure raw material with love and care. They keep the same family recipe from the 60's to produce the gourmet pasta that keeps its taste untainted by time. Vlaha SA applies a food safety management system according to EN ISO 22000:2005 standards.

 Product Cautions and Directions

  • May contain traces of egg
  • Boil 6.5 cups of water for every 1 cup of Trachana

    Unfortunately, this was nothing like the wonderful trahanas I have had in Cyprus. It was much more bland and the grain was semolina-like. The Cypriot one is very tangy and is made with bulghur.

    I couldn’t give it a 5. My Thia christines from Greece was the best but this is right up there
